They’re not having cinco de mayo events per se, but below you’ll find some of our favorite spots for margaritas, tacos, and more.

Mezcal Kitchen

You could say it’s cinco de mayo everyday at Mezcal Kitchen. The Mexican eatery offers a wide variety of Mexican eats that go way beyond just tacos. (665 Newark Avenue)

Taqueria/Los Cuernos

Taqueria Downtown and Los Cuernos are our go-to spots for all things Mexican related. From enchiladas to margaritas, the family-owned restaurants never disappoint. Food is generously sized, affordable, and packed with flavor. The spicy marg is the best in town! (236 Grove | 499 Washington Blvd)

Irma’s Cafe

Take a culinary trip to Mexico via El Salvador at Irma’s Cafe. The family-owned restaurant is one of the Heights’ best kept secrets. The eatery offers a mix of Salvadorian food (try the queso con loroco pupusas) alongside Mexican eats like their highly recommended birria tacos. (279 Central Avenue)
