The Jersey City 4th of July fireworks show will return to Exchange Place this year. However, unlike previous years where the event has featured performers like Flo Rida and Pitbull, the 2023 show will not have any headlining performer.

That’s not to say there won’t be any music. Local DJs will play from various stages throughout the day whereas the team behind Jersey City Night Market will once again curate food from all across the tri-state area with 60 food trucks and vendors ready to satisfy all of your cravings.

“We have grown our annual Fourth of July celebration to the point where it has become a yearly tradition for families and friends across the tristate area, and we are excited to provide another fun-filled Independence Day yet again this year,” said Mayor Steven Fulop. “Nowhere else will you find the renowned Grucci setting off fireworks from two barges in the middle of the Hudson River with an unparalleled backdrop of the New York City skyline.”

The street fair will take place from 12pm to 10pm along Montgomery Street at Exchange Place. Grucci fireworks will be launched at 9:30pm from two barges along the Hudson River. The event is expected to draw crowds of up to 200,000 people.

In previous years, the Jersey City 4th of July fireworks show has attracted acts like The Village People (2016), Kool and the Gang (2017), Snoop Dogg (2018), Pitbull with Akon (2019), and Flo Rida with Shaquille O’Neal (2022).
