Pet Shop JC is hosting a benefit show for Ukraine Mutual Aid. A $10 donation gets you a free vodka shot. Also, you’ll get to participate in raffles from Tia Planta, Bread & Salt, Griot Cafe, Baddie Tattoos, and more.

The Exchange Place Alliance is hosting another night of Movies on the Pier. This Friday you’ll be able to catch a free screening of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. The movie starts at sunset (around 7:30pm). Food and drink will be available for purchase.

Head to Corgi Spirits for a night of comedy and cocktails. Jersey City comedians Ryan Rummel and Alex Grubard will showcase stand-up comedians from all over the tri-state area. Admission is $20 per person.

What: Smorgasburg Jersey City
When: Saturday, August 20 from 11am to 6pm
Where: Harborside Plaza & Hudson Street (behind Smorgasbar)
Smorgasburg is back at Harborside for another season of eats. The outdoor market will offer food from numerous vendors including Cake Jars, Carlitos Barbecue Taqueria, and more. The market will operate every Saturday. Admission is free and there will be various outdoor dining options throughout Harborside JC.

What: The Cottage Weekend Jazz
When: Saturdays & Sundays from 12pm to 3pm
Where: 136 Monticello Avenue
The Cottage Jersey City is once again hosting live jazz from its garden. Saturday’s performer will be by John Nuñez and Sunday’s guest is Sofia Oro. As a reminder, The Cottage is BYOB.

What: Puerto Rican Parade & Festival
When: Saturday & Sunday from 12pm to 9pm
Where: Columbus Drive (btwn Marin & Warren)
From Puerto Rican eats to Puerto Rican music, Jersey City will get a touch of the Caribbean this weekend during the city’s Annual Puerto Rican Parade & Festival. The 2-day festival will take place on Columbus Drive from Marin to Warren. It’ll include food, music, food trucks, and more. On Sunday, there will be a parade (12pm) that will start at Lincoln Park.

When: Saturday, August 20 from 2pm to 8pm

Corgi Spirits is hosting an artist and maker market this afternoon. Shop locally handmade items, vintage apparel, food, drinks, and more.

What: Art @ Night at Surf City (JC Pride Edition)
When: Saturday August 20 from 6pm to 12am
Where: 1 Marin Boulevard
Celebrate Pride month at Surf City. For it’s final Art @ Night of the season, the outdoor bar has teamed up with JC Pride for a night of drag performances, live DJs, live artist paintings, and more. Admission is $10/pp and includes a free drink.

Water Street is a pop/Americana group from Blairstown, NJ. They have played at venues such as The Bitter End, The Stone Pony, and MusikFest.

What: 5th Annual Fringe Fest at Corgi
When: Sunday, August 21 from 4pm to 7pm
Where: 1 Distillery Drive
Head back to Corgi Spirits for the 5th Annual Fringe Fest with live music and performances from 4pm till 7pm. Admission is $10/pp.
