Tribeca’s Gotan Cafe is expanding to Jersey City. The New York-based cafe recently opened at 198 Van Vorst Street next to the Madox Apartments.
Like their Tribeca outpost (130 Franklin), Gotan Jersey City will offer Counter Culture coffee alongside a mix of pastries and made to order salads and sandwiches. Their New York City location has a very modern, minimalist feel and from what I could see through the windows, their Jersey City cafe has a similarly clean interior design.
A few items I tried from their New York menu that I enjoyed include the cauliflower Tahini and their avocado feta toast. Based on their Instagram account, it looks like the latter will be offered at the Jersey City location.
